A very close game took place in La Vega betweenLeones and Reales . Eighth ranked Leones (7-6) got a very close victory on the road over 7th ranked Reales (5-8). Leones managed to escape with a 2-point win 95-93 on Thursday evening. Leones looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. The winners were led by naturalized American Gerardo Suero (196-1989, college: Albany) who scored that evening 21 points and 8 assists and point guard Jaison Valdez (188-1995) supported him with 16 points, 6 rebounds and 8 assists. Even 23 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists (went 8 for 8 at the free throw line) by American guard Michael Henry (198-1995, college: Buffalo St.) did not help to save the game for Reales . His fellow American import Robert Glenn (203-1988, college: IUPUI) added 16 points and 7 rebounds. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches allowed to play bench players in such tough game. Leones have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place, which they share with Caneros and Indios. Reales lost fourth consecutive game. They dropped to the bottom position with eight games lost.
